Our aim is to raise awareness of the inter- and multidisciplinary field of religion and society, and to publish scholarly and educational writings for researchers and educators in this field. Conduct research on the political role of religion and make the results of this research available to the widest possible audience. Research includes analyses of the social teachings of Christian churches and the Christian roots of the West, as well as the global engagement of other world religions, Islam and some Asian religious traditions. The issue of persecution and discrimination on the basis of religious belief is also an important area, as is the analysis of the relationship between religions and rival secular belief systems.
